Sunset Yoga on Dunedin Causeway

After a day of scurrying around taking care of business (while on my “vacation”) from the minute I awoke making coffee, making breakfast fruit tofu smoothies to go, interviewing three property managers, fixing lights and door tracks and buying washer/dryer, picking up Lori’s mom from rehab with broken hip to go to ortho, being told we can’t visit her anymore due to Coronavirus fears, more condo handy man time, get Steak and Shake to make Marie’s dinner a little more enticing, meet with her aunts for dinner and driving through Florida rush hour traffic back and forth all day…I announced to Lori when we got home I felt awful and was going to bed.

So she sweetly told me she was going to walk the causeway and no big deal. Which of course I hated to hear, because I wasn’t going to let her walk the beach alone. So grumbling, I put on my running shoes and we took off…

Beautiful evening, warm but nice breeze with the happy people all out on spring break enjoying God’s beach. It was a tonic for soothing my soul. And as we approached the sunset time, we happened to pass by a secluded park right at the end of the beach that I thought was a nice meditation space when we saw it the other day. My mood had lifted enough that I got spontaneous and asked her to video me saying a yoga good night to the sun in its setting minutes.

So while the video is not “something beautiful” at all — it was interesting to experience the shift in mood of the day just by saying yes and moving a bit. And even more interesting to consider I would never have let anyone take a video of me attempting yoga just a few months ago (let alone share it with you).
